Partner programme terms
Last updated: 7 September 2026
1. Purpose
The Wedillybird partner programme allows a content creator, a wedding planner or anyone supporting couples to recommend Wedillybird and earn a commission on the sales they generate. These terms govern the relationship between Wedillybird (“we”) and the person admitted to the programme (“the Partner”). They do not cover referrals between individuals, which earn credit usable on the Service and are governed by the Terms of Service.
2. Admission and Partner status
The programme is invitation-only: we create the partner account, its code and its link. An unsolicited application confers no right. The Partner acts entirely independently. The programme creates no employment contract, no agency, no joint venture and no exclusivity either way. The Partner is responsible for their own tax and social security obligations and confirms holding, where their national law requires it, the status allowing them to issue an invoice.
3. Referral link and promotional code
We provide the Partner with a referral link (in the form wedillybird.com/?ref=CODE) and, where a discount is offered to their audience, a promotional code carrying the same string. The code applies to the couple plans (Essential and Premium). It applies neither to professional subscriptions nor to the post-wedding HD option. The code is valid for twelve months from creation and may be renewed. The Partner may not transfer it, resell it, or create variants of it.
4. Sale attribution
A sale is attributed to the Partner in two cases: — the buyer clicked their referral link within the previous thirty days; where several referral links were followed, the first one received carries the attribution; — or the buyer entered their code at checkout. No commission is due where neither condition is met, in particular if the buyer cleared their cookies or changed device without entering the code. The Partner earns no commission on their own purchases.
5. Commission
The commission is a percentage of the tax-exclusive amount actually collected by Wedillybird, after any discount. Wedillybird is registered for VAT: on a sale invoiced in euros, VAT at 20% is deducted before the calculation, using the same breakdown as the invoice issued to the couple. On a sale invoiced outside the European Union, no French VAT is due and the tax-exclusive amount then equals the amount collected. The commission is 20%, unless a different rate is agreed in writing with the Partner. By way of illustration, a Premium plan at €59 incl. VAT corresponds to €49.17 excl. VAT, i.e. a commission of €9.83. The discount granted to the audience and the Partner's commission may not together exceed 25% of the price. Commissions are calculated and paid in the currency of the transaction, without conversion.
6. Vesting and cancellation
A commission vests on the date of the wedding concerned, and no earlier than seven days after the purchase. That period matches the window during which the couple can still obtain a refund. Before payout, a commission is cancelled if the corresponding purchase is refunded, unpaid or disputed with the bank. After payout, we may offset the corresponding amount against subsequent commissions.
7. Payout
The Partner can see their attributed sales and the amount owed to them at any time from their partner space. Vested commissions are paid by bank transfer, on request and at most once a month, within thirty days of receiving a compliant invoice. A minimum threshold of €50 applies; below it, the balance carries over to the next payout. Bank fees relating to a transfer outside the SEPA area remain payable by the Partner.
8. Partner obligations
The Partner undertakes to: — clearly disclose the commercial nature of their posts, as required by law; in France, the wording “publicité” or “collaboration commerciale” must remain visible throughout the promotion; — present the Service only through its actual features, with no promise of results and no misleading statement about prices or discounts; — not bid on the “Wedillybird” brand or on similar terms in search engine advertising; — not distribute their link or code through unsolicited messages, nor on coupon aggregator sites without our written agreement; — use the Wedillybird name and visuals only as we supply them. The Partner does not speak on behalf of Wedillybird and enters into no commitment in our name.
9. Suspension and end of the programme
Either party may end the programme at any time, without notice or compensation. The code and link are then deactivated and stop producing new attributions. Absent any breach, commissions already vested and those still vesting are paid under article 7. In the event of a breach of the article 8 obligations, or of any scheme intended to create artificial sales, commissions not yet paid are forfeited.
10. Personal data
The Partner receives no information about buyers' identity: their space shows amounts, dates and statuses — never a name, an email address or an identifiable wedding. The Partner's own data (identity, contact details, bank details) is processed to run the programme and pay commissions, and kept for as long as our accounting obligations require. How to exercise your rights is set out in the privacy policy.
11. Changes, governing law and disputes
We may amend these terms. Any amendment is notified to the Partner thirty days before it takes effect and does not apply to sales already attributed. These terms are governed by French law. Any dispute relating to their performance falls within the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Paris, save for any mandatory provision to the contrary.
